Summary of the contracting process

The Oldham Council is currently seeking tenders for the provision of an Information Advice and Support Service (IASS) in the Health and Social Work Services category. This open procurement process is in the Tender stage and will remain open until 26th November 2018. The service aims to assist children and young people with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND) and their families by providing crucial information and guidance, as mandated by the Children and Families Act 2014. The contract is expected to commence on 1st April 2019, with a duration ending on 31st March 2021, with a total value of £35,000. The service is to be delivered in the North West region of the United Kingdom.

This tender provides an excellent opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) to engage in public service delivery, particularly those specialising in health, education, or community support. Businesses well-versed in providing tailored advice and assistance to families, particularly those with SEND, will be well-positioned to compete for this contract. The focus on accessibility and support in this sector creates a niche for those committed to enhancing the lives of vulnerable populations.
