Summary of the contracting process

The Birmingham City Council is currently planning a Market Sounding Exercise titled "Community Based Early Help System." This initiative seeks to engage with the voluntary, community, and faith sectors in Birmingham, focusing on improving outcomes for children and families. Key deadlines include the engagement end date on 30th November 2020, and the tender is classified under the CPV code 75200000, which pertains to the provision of services to the community. The procurement process is initiated through a request for information (RFI) as part of an early engagement strategy, with the opportunity for interested parties to register via the In-tend e-portal.

This tender presents significant opportunities for organisations involved in community services, particularly those representing and coordinating the voluntary, community, and faith sectors. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are particularly well-suited to participate, as they can contribute valuable insights and expertise in early help delivery across multiple localities in Birmingham. Engaging with this process will allow businesses to expand their networks and potentially lead to future collaboration opportunities in community-focused projects.
