Summary of the contracting process

The North of England Commissioning Support (NECS), acting on behalf of NHS Sunderland Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), is currently in the planning stage of a procurement process titled "Market Engagement for Multi-Specialty Community Provider." This process aims to establish a Multi-specialty Community Provider (MCP) to deliver a range of community-based health and care services for the Sunderland patient population. The anticipated contract, valuing between approximately £209 million and £240 million, may last up to 10 years. Businesses interested in participating must respond to the Request for Information (RFI) by noon on 20th November 2017, with an engagement event scheduled for 22nd November 2017 at 4 PM. The delivery of services will be concentrated within the North East region of England.

This tender offers significant opportunities for growth, particularly for healthcare providers, service integrators, and organisations capable of delivering community-based services. Innovative businesses with models that could manage or sub-contract various health and social work services would be well-positioned to compete in this process. The market engagement event will provide an excellent platform for potential bidders to showcase their capabilities and understand the requirements set by the NHS Sunderland CCG. This is an ideal opportunity for businesses looking to expand their services within the public health sector in the UK.
