Notice Description

Cornwall is one of six areas across England funded by the Big Lottery Fund to deliver its HeadStart Programme which brings together partnerships of young people, charities, health, parents, teachers and local authorities to help 10-16 year olds feel they have support in school, the community and at home, as well as tackling the stigma associated with mental health. The HeadStart Kernow Partnership has been awarded funding until 2021 to deliver an ambitious investment programme that enables a universal approach to promoting emotional resilience and mental wellbeing. The HeadStart Kernow Vision, which has been co-produced with young people is: 'The emotional wellbeing and mental health of all children and young people is improved because they can easily access the right support when they need it'. The Council is seeking to appoint a Service Provider who will be required to apply learning gained by the Programme to date and provide a delivery model to work with young people aged 10-16 years that will: * Offer direct provision of 1-1 and group support for young people to improve the quality of their emotional health and well- being. * Build the capacity of schools and community based organisations to support young people's emotional health and well-being. The Council welcomes a partnership and innovative approach to provision across Cornwall and involves young people in all aspects of design, delivery and evaluation.
