Notice Description

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority (CPCA) requires a housing assessment to support plan-making in Cambridgeshire & Peterborough. CPCA are seeking to work with a contractor who can demonstrate: * a high level of knowledge and practical experience of producing housing and economic needs assessments for plan-making purposes; and * substantial experience of defending work at Local Plan examination hearings. This work will inform policy-making across the CPCA area. The CPCA requires the assessment to inform its work on the Non-statutory Strategic Spatial Framework (NSSF) that it is producing in line with the Devolution Deal with government. However, local planning authorities may also use the assessment to inform options for their policy-making. Local planning authorities will be part of a Steering group for the assessment. The consultant must demonstrate in writing that they have no conflicts of interest in respect of work being sought that cannot be effectively mitigated. An example of conflict could be a consultant which has unresolved objections relating to housing numbers in respect of a yet to be concluded Local Plan examination in the CPCA area.
