Notice Description

Cornwall Council is conducting a soft market assessment to gain an understanding of the potential level of interest within the market place for the provision of Carers Services to Adult Carers, Young Carers and Carers in transition (16 to 25 years of age). This market assessment is not part of any procurement process. It is purely investigatory in nature, although it may be used to assist the Council in defining a work programme and assisting in developing this service. Participation of this soft market assessment will not prejudice suppliers participating in any future procurement. If you are interested in this area of service provision and also helping with our assessment of the market, please complete the "Information Required" section at the end of this notice along with any additional information you consider to be relevant and return this via e-mail to Rebecca Yorke, Senior Supply Chain Specialist, Commercial Services Team by 15.00 hrs on Tuesday 30 June 2015. The Council is looking for a supplier/s who will work with them to develop quality services that offer flexibility, are responsive, innovative and will assist Carers to meet the strategic outcomes it has defined. These services are to include support to all Carers, specifically with a view to 3 key areas. Adult Carers (aged over 18 years), Young Carers (aged up to 18 years) and Transition Carers (Carers aged between 16 and 25) - the potential business value is estimated at PS1.5 million per annum. The required service provision will include, but not be limited to: * Carer Support Workers - providing advice, assistance and Carers Assessments (below). * Carers Assessments - to undertake formal Carers Assessments and assess the Carer's eligible need, identify support for Carers and where appropriate arrange the provision of a Carers Personal Budget. * Carers Helpline * Carers Website * Carers Forums * Carers Newsletter * Carers Database * Carers Training * Community Based Activities * Fundraising/grant applications * To support and facilitate the development of an increased level of direct support for Young Carers through locality teams and a range of key services including health services, schools and colleges Interested organisations who consider that they would be able to meet the potential outlined requirements (Delivery of services to the approximate value of PS1.5m per annum) are invited to submit their details along with any additional information which may be relevant and of interest to the Council Your Name: Organisation Name: Organisation e-mail contact address: Thank you.
