Summary of the contracting process

Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking providers for Supported Living Services under a Flexible Contracting Agreement (FCA) through an open procurement process. This contract, classified under the CPV code for social work services, is set to run for three years from April 1, 2020, to March 31, 2023, with potential extensions. The deadline for submission was February 10, 2020, and services are expected to be delivered within the borough of Solihull in the West Midlands, UK. The contract award was completed on June 22, 2020.

This FCA presents a significant opportunity for businesses in the social care sector, particularly those specialising in services for disabled adults and individuals with mental health issues or autism. Companies that are well-suited to compete include SMEs and voluntary and community sector enterprises, as the council encourages a diverse range of suppliers. As the FCA may open annually for new submissions, there is ongoing potential for growth and collaboration in delivering essential social care services within the community.
