ON-HOLD: LEM005d ITT for a battery energy storage system (BESS) providing both UPS capability and grid ancillary services for a commercial site in mid Cornwall
Notice Description
THIS PROCUREMENT EVENT IS ON HOLD UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. This project is part of the wider Cornwall Local Energy Market Programme in Cornwall. The scope of this Invitation to Tender (ITT) is to procure a BESS to provide both Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) capability and selected grid services, which will be located Behind The Meter (BTM) at a Commercial site in mid Cornwall. The scope includes the design of the BESS; execution of transport, offloading, installation, commissioning, testing and sign off/certification, in addition to providing an operation and maintenance service. System sizes could range from: 150kW x 75kWh to 250kW x 125kWh. Centrica plc's Cornwall Local Energy Market project (LEM) is an EU-funded initiative involving the development of a virtual energy marketplace. The trial provides homes and businesses with the technology and a software platform to buy and sell energy and flexibility to both the supply networks and the wholesale energy market. The project's overarching aim is to demonstrate that the electricity distribution network can facilitate an increased penetration of renewable / low carbon electricity generation by invoking novel strategies including flexibility. The LEM project will enable energy asset flexibility in the most constrained areas on the distribution network in Cornwall. To this end the project is installing low carbon energy generation assets, such as natural gas CHP, renewable energy generation, storage, private wire networks, and demand-side response technologies into selected industrial and commercial premises in Cornwall. The full Invitation to Tender will become available after you complete an NDA and register your interest as per the instructions below: Please complete the attached two forms, ARIBA COMPANY INFORMATION and CENTRICA PLC NDA and include these when requesting an ITT pack. The SAP Ariba invitation will be sent via CENTRICA GLOBAL PROCUREMENT email address: s4system-prodeu@eusmtp.ariba.com by 14 November 2019 (unless your initial request is later than this date). Please check your spam before contacting us and then add this email address to your security safe list as all communications regarding this tender will be sent via Ariba. Centrica will conduct due diligence checks at this point. Following receipt of these two forms, access to SAP Ariba will be issued in due course via an automated email from CENTRICA GLOBAL PROCUREMENT: s4system-prodeu@eusmtp.ariba.com. Please add this email to your security safe list. The ITT pack for this tender will be released on SAP Ariba on 14 November 2019. Please indicate your intention to bid by 28 November 2019. This tender will be live until 12:00 GMT Monday 2 December 2019. Questions will not be taken or answered during the ITT stage other than through Centrica's supply chain system SAP Ariba. All questions submitted in SAP Ariba and the answers given will be visible to competing suppliers. Direct communication with a member of the Cornwall LEM team during the tender advertising period is strictly prohibited and may result in your tender being disqualified.
