Summary of the contracting process

The Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation (OPDC) has issued a Prior Information Notice and initiated Early Market Engagement for an urban development construction project in the heart of West London. This mixed-use development aims to create a new urban district centred around the arrival of HS2 and the Elizabeth line at the new Old Oak Common station. The project, spanning approximately 70 acres of brownfield land across the London boroughs of Ealing, Brent, and Hammersmith & Fulham, seeks to deliver up to 9,000 homes, 3 million sq ft of commercial space, retail, community facilities, and 25 acres of public realm. The procurement process is currently in the tender stage, with a deadline for expressions of interest set for 5th November 2024 at 5:00 PM, and the contract period beginning on 1st January 2026 and ending on 31st December 2030.

This tender presents significant opportunities for developers, investors, and registered providers to participate in a landmark regeneration project that can serve as a model for urban development in London. The project is well-suited for businesses experienced in delivering or investing in similar large-scale projects, particularly those involved in urban development, construction, and mixed-use developments. By engaging in this process, businesses can establish valuable partnerships, expand their project portfolios, and potentially secure a role in one of London's most transformative regeneration initiatives.
