Summary of the contracting process

The NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit is currently seeking expressions of interest for the "CHC Nursing Homes AQP" project, aimed at providing Nursing Home Placements for patients qualifying for NHS Continuing Healthcare services. This opportunity falls under the Health Services category (CPV code: 85100000) and is located in the West Midlands, United Kingdom. The procurement process is at the tender stage, with the deadline for submissions set for 1st November 2017. The service will be commissioned using the Any Qualified Provider (AQP) method, and successful providers will need to sign a standard NHS contract, accepting specified tariffs for the services provided.

This tender presents significant growth opportunities for health care providers, particularly those focused on elderly care and nursing services. Businesses that are suitably qualified, including SMEs and voluntary and community sector organisations, are encouraged to compete. The flexible nature of the AQP model allows various types of organisations—sole providers, consortia, or partnerships—to participate, enhancing the likelihood of new entrants gaining a foothold in this essential market. Interested parties should prepare to complete an accreditation questionnaire to demonstrate competency and quality standards, enabling them to secure a place on the list of qualified providers.
