Wintering bird surveys of terrestrial habitats around the Humber Estuary, Yorkshire
Notice Description
Natural England wishes to commission passage and wintering bird surveys during September 2023 to March 2024, across terrestrial land with a potential to provide supporting habitat for bird species associated with the Humber Estuary Special Protection Area (SPA)/ Ramsar. These surveys will be used to inform habitat suitability modelling for golden plover, curlew and lapwing and therefore a methodology has been proposed to systematically sample areas within a 10km radius of the Humber Estuary in Yorkshire. Please find further information within the project specification. The contract is anticipated to start on 04/09/2023 for a period of 29 weeks, until 26/03/2024. Your response must be sent to Hannah.Gooch@naturalengland.org.uk by 9am on 21 August 2023.
