Notice Description

Leicester City Council is requiring the provision of good quality and cost effective city wide community opportunity day services that help to maintain and promote independence and well-being for vulnerable adults in Leicester. These services should support the Council's aim to enable, support and protect vulnerable people. The service will be for OP, Adults with a LD (moderate to severe, which may include people with autistic spectrum conditions), Adults with MH and Adults with PD (inc. sensory impairments, D/deaf, D/deafblind and visually or hearing impaired people). The community opportunities service will therefore offer adults with disabilities and older people in the city of Leicester, day activities and support to develop skills that will help them in their everyday lives to enable them to achieve maximum possible independence and well-being. The Contract will be for 3 years to commence on 01/04/18 with an option to extend, for a further period up to a 1 year (4 years in total). Additional information: For Lot 2 and Lot 4 if you are tendering for only some of the specialist categories, then within your tendersubmission at the start of your Method Statement responses please state which specialist category/categoriesyou are tendering for. Lot 2 - The Tenderer's responses to Method Statement Section H - Specialist Knowledge Questions (allquestions to Lot 2) can either incorporate all categories or one for which you have expertise. Lot 4 - The Tenderer's responses to Method Statement Section H - Specialist Knowledge Questions (allquestions to Lot 4) can either incorporate all categories or one or more for which you have expertise. Please note, for Lot 2 & 4 if more than one category is being tendered for, then the word limit increases from anyquestion with 750 words to 1,000 words and for any questions with 500 words to 750 words. Due to these changes, the submission date has been extended from 23/10/17 (12noon) to 30/10/17 (12noon).
