Summary of the contracting process

The Burnley Borough Council is seeking qualified organisations to provide Refugee Support Services, which include caseworker and floating support, as well as intensive orientation assistance for five Syrian refugee households in Burnley, located in the North West of England. This procurement is currently in the Award stage, with the contract scheduled to commence on 2nd July 2017 and concluding on 30th June 2018. Notice Description

Tenders are invited from appropriately qualified organisations that are able to provide caseworker and floating support, meet and greet, and intensive orientation support to five Syrian refugee households in the borough of Burnley. This service will be required to be carried out in line with details provided in the ITT document and the practices as detailed in Syrian Refugee Settlement: A guide for local authorities (attached). The meet and greet and intensive orientation aspects of this requirement will be provided for the arrival of the Syrian refugee households and up to two weeks after arrival in mid July 2017. Following the arrival period, the requirement is for on going casework and support to be delivered for one year. Additional information: The closing date for this opportunity is 3PM on Monday 20th March 2017. The values stated in this notice merely stipulate the Council's anticipated range of value for this work. This is provided to manage Bidder expectations in terms of funding available for this procurement. The focus here is that the Council will be looking to secure competitive rates. There is no suggestion that the lowest price acceptable should be interpreted as the 'lowest actual value' recorded in this notice.
