Notice Description

NHS South West London Integrated Care Board is inviting expressions of interest from suitably experienced and capable providers for the Provision of an Community Podiatry Service for patients within the borough of Wandsworth. The primary goal of the Service is to establish a top-tier, community-focused podiatry service, delivered by highly skilled and HCPC-registered podiatrists. With a commitment to promptness and efficacy, the Service will provide comprehensive advice, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment across various care settings, ensuring convenient access for patients, including those in domiciliary and residential care. This PIN seeks the views and opinions of those organisations that may be interested in delivering the Service. The Community Podiatry Service will operate between Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 19:00, across a network of sites, offering extensive coverage to accommodate patients' needs. The service will operate exclusively on a referral basis. Referrals from any healthcare professional will be triaged by a senior podiatrist team, ensuring appropriate allocation to the relevant clinic or service. It is anticipated that the procurement process for this service will start soon, and, subject to a successful procurement process the anticipated Service Commencement date is April 2024. The Contracting Authority intends for the contract to be awarded for a 3-year duration with the possibility of an extension for up to 24 months. Participation in the engagement exercise is not a mandatory requirement for participating in any potential future procurement; however, responses received will help inform the NHS SWL ICB as to the level of interest from the market and may be used to evidence a decision as to whether or not to undertake a competitive procurement.
