Summary of the contracting process

The North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust is currently initiating a procurement process for a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) aimed at delivering Mental Health Complex Care Rehabilitation and Learning Disabilities and Autism Transforming Care Programme Services. The procurement is classified under health and social work services, with an estimated value of £124 million. The tender is at the planning stage, set to be conducted through a selective method, with the initial tender period open until 2nd September 2021. The services will predominantly be delivered in the West Midlands region of the UK, and the contract period is expected to commence on 1st November 2021 and last for four years.

This procurement presents significant opportunities for businesses, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs), to engage in the healthcare sector by providing tailored care packages. Relevant businesses that specialise in mental health services, rehabilitation placements, and support for individuals with learning disabilities and autism may find this tender especially advantageous. As the DPS remains open for innovative practices, organisations that can demonstrate effective and personalised care solutions will be well-suited to compete for the contracts available under this framework.
