Summary of the contracting process

Newcastle City Council is preparing to initiate a concession tender for a café operator at the City Library, which is located in the bustling city centre of Newcastle upon Tyne. This planning stage includes an engagement event scheduled for 31st January 2018, designed to inform potential suppliers about the forthcoming tender opportunity. Interested parties must register by 30th January to participate in this event, as spaces are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. The primary industry category for this tender falls under cafeteria services.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in café operations or similar concession services. Companies with experience in managing static-based cafés and a commitment to delivering high-quality service could thrive in this competitive environment. This is particularly advantageous for businesses looking to expand their presence in the North East of England, as the café will serve a high footfall area within the City Community & Information Hub and Library.
