Notice Description

Newark and Sherwood District Council (NSDC) wishes to invite tenders for the supply of works. The project is to develop an 80 space car parking facility adjacent to Newark hospital, the car park is to have in/out barriers, payment machines, EV charging points, canopies,CCTV and solar PV. NSDC is looking to create a modern and potentially self-sustaining car park for the use of the local hospital; this will benefit the hospital staff, visitors and the surrounding area by taking cars off of the public highway. NSDC is working in partnership with Sherwood Hospital trust. The Council proposes to enter one contract for an initial period of 3 months with the preferred supplier, with an option to extend for a further period of 2 months, making 5 months in total. Any proposed extension will be in accordance with what is set out in the tender documents. Key project dates are: Deadline to request a site visit - 10/07/23 (12 noon) Mandatory site visits to take place - 10/07/23 to 14/07/23 Clarification deadline - 25/07/23 (12 noon) Tender submission deadline - 01/08/23 (12 noon) Contract award - w/c 28/08/23 Contract commencement - 11/09/23 The Council reserves the right to amend these dates.
