Notice Title

PURCON893 BMI IMAGE DATA ANALYSIS, STORAGE AND ARCHIVING SOLUTION - AWARD

Notice Description

Tender for the supply, delivery, installation, commissioning and provide training with respect to the following equipment: A data analysis and storage platform capable of receiving, storing and processing the data in a microscopy core facility containing seven multi-user microscopes and four off-line analysis workstations (all connected via a 10 GB/s network). It should be able to cope with the challenging data rates of modern fluorescence microscopes, including a fast-scanning confocal with super resolution capabilities (Zeiss LSM980 with Airyscan 2) and two widefield, live-cell imaging systems with fast, sCMOS cameras. The system should provide fast (and safe) data transfer within the limits of the existing network infrastructure; fast data storage; enable efficient image processing and visualization (with third-party software packages); allow simple project and user administration; have a secure remote login for safe data access in national or international research collaborations, and operate under a Windows user interface that requires only minimal IT knowledge. The system should have a single or multiple CPUs with at least 36 cores and a minimum of 512 GB RAM, a high-end graphics card (>=16 GB VRAM), a 10 GB network module, and a storage capacity of 80 TB or more. The machine should have proven capability to run a variety of commercial and open-source imaging software; e.g., Huygens Pro, Imaris, Arivis Vison 4D, Aivia, Fiji/ImageJ, Ilastik, and OMERO.
