Summary of the contracting process

The Birmingham City Council has recently awarded a contract titled "Youth Promise Plus (YPP) - Contract 2 Locality Based Intervention Workers." This initiative aims to provide tailored support for young people aged 15-29 who are not engaged in education, employment, or training (NEET). The procurement process was conducted through an open procedure and the contract spans from 9th January 2017 to 30th June 2018. This project is part of the European Commission's funding for youth employment in areas of Birmingham and Solihull, addressing significant need in these communities. The deadline for applications was 5th December 2016, with relevant delivery addresses located in the West Midlands, United Kingdom.

This contract presents an excellent opportunity for organisations focusing on social work and youth services to expand their business. Suitable bidders would include those providing welfare services for children and young people, training programme providers, and any firms with experience in social work services. Collaborating with or providing holistic support to NEET individuals could significantly bolster service delivery in underserved areas, aligning with current funding priorities and community needs.
