Summary of the contracting process

The University of Birmingham is looking to procure the supply and installation of a Magnetometry Test Bench, which includes head phantoms as part of the project’s overall budget of up to £117,000 (VAT exempt). The procurement process follows an open procedure and is currently at the award stage, with the contract period set to start on 3rd November 2020 and end by 20th November 2020. The tender was initiated on 10th August 2020 and was formally awarded on 14th October 2020. Interested parties should note that the service will primarily focus on visual and auditory stimulation equipment for research purposes, to be delivered to Birmingham (postal code B15 2TT).

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in advanced technological equipment, particularly those with expertise in visual and auditory stimulation devices integrated with eye-tracking capabilities. Companies that are small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) should consider applying, as the procurement authority encourages SME participation. The features required are quite specific; thus, businesses with experience in developing compatible systems for research purposes could find this an ideal chance to expand their market presence and forge partnerships with educational institutions.
