Notice Description

The Rare and imported pathogens laboratory (RIPL) department located at Public Health England (PHE) Porton Down wishes to hold an engagement day with prospective suppliers for the requirement of a sample archiving system. The department is seeking a system for sample archiving and retrieval whereby, through integration with the existing LIM system (MOLIS 4.4) individual samples can be booked in and tagged (e.g. barcodes, RFID chips etc) to allow full traceability for the duration of its storage. The proposed system must be directly queryable to allow the utilisation of worklists and must also allow samples to be transferred to different locations within Porton following initial entry.
