Notice Description

The Cambridgeshire and Peterborough CCG are commissioning a CCG-Wide Minor Eye Conditions Service from a single provider that will sub-contract with local Optometrists to provide the Minor Eye Conditions Service from their Optometrists Practices (Opticians). Referrals will be received from GPs, Optometrists, Secondary Care Providers, patient self-referrals. Patients can be signposted to the service from GPs, MIUs, Emergency Eye Services, 111 and other relevant services. The Conditions that will be seen and treated in this service are all Minor Eye Conditions that do not need to be treated within a Consultant led setting. All the conditions treated fall within the core skill set of the Optometrists. Additional accreditation will be mandatory prior to providing the service. 15 Expressions of interest from local Optometrist practices CCG-Wide to provide the service will need to be submitted as part of the Tender response.
