Summary of the contracting process

The Wokingham Borough Council is currently in the planning stage of a procurement process for the "Domestic Abuse Support Service Market Engagement Event." This initiative aims to gather insights for designing a supportive service for residents of Wokingham Borough who are affected by domestic abuse. Key dates include an engagement end date set for 12th December 2020 and a virtual market engagement event scheduled for 15th December 2020. The anticipated contract will last for five years with a potential two-year extension, and the estimated budget for this service is £1,554,000. The service primarily falls under the category of Health and social work services.

This procurement presents significant opportunities for organisations specialising in health, social work, and community support services. Businesses focused on crisis intervention, prevention training, and support for domestic abuse victims would be particularly well-suited to participate. The virtual market engagement event will allow interested parties to showcase their capabilities, making it an ideal platform for small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) looking to expand their involvement in community-based projects.
