Summary of the contracting process

The Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult, located in Blyth, Northumberland, is initiating a pre-market engagement process for the "Manufactured Parts and Materials Supply Framework." This framework is designed to support the offshore renewable energy sector, with projected project values ranging from £5,000 to £300,000. Key dates include the engagement end date on 23rd February 2018. The procurement process is currently in the planning stage, intended to ensure effective delivery of future customer requirements. The framework will include Lots for large and small fabrication/machining, as well as a variety of ferrous and non-ferrous materials.

This pre-market engagement presents significant opportunities for businesses in the manufacturing and supply sector, particularly those specialising in metal ores and alloys, mechanical engineering, and structural products. Companies that focus on fabrication, machining, and the provision of metal materials will be well-positioned to compete for contracts resulting from this framework. Additionally, this engagement session offers potential suppliers a valuable chance to understand ORE Catapult's needs and the tendering process, potentially fostering long-term business relationships in the renewable energy industry.
