CAMBRIDGESHIRE COMMUNITY NAVIGATORS- PROVIDER BREIFING 11th MAY 2016

**Please note the window for this opportunity is now closed** Cambridgeshire County Council are holding a Provider Briefing on Wednesday 11th May 10-12pm, Cambridgeshire County Council, Shire Hall. The briefing will provide background and context of the Community Navigator service as well as providing an overview of the tender processes and associated timescale. Cambridgeshire's team of volunteer Community Navigators can help improve the health, wellbeing and independence of older and vulnerable people. Whatever the question, Community Navigators will do their utmost to find an answer. Examples include: * Car schemes and help with transport * Social groups and activities * Befriending schemes * Practical help around the home Community Navigators work across the county supporting older and vulnerable people to find solutions. The Navigators match older and vulnerable people with a local volunteer, who has been police-checked, trained and knows what services and activities are available. The Navigators can meet people in their home, in the local community or at a drop-in-session. If people are worried about taking the next steps or aren't sure where to turn for information the Community Navigators are able to make telephone calls and connect people with the services and activities, supporting that person to find the best solution.
