Summary of the contracting process

The University of Wolverhampton Enterprise Limited is currently seeking tenders for the "Provision of a Fabrication Laboratory (FabLab)" at their new Science, Technology & Prototyping Centre, located in Wolverhampton, England. This project, which forms part of the establishment of a £10 million facility, is in the Tender stage, with submissions due by 11th April 2017. The successful contractor will be responsible for supplying, installing, and commissioning specified equipment, along with extending the necessary electrical supply by the end of May 2017. The contract will commence on 26th May 2017 and run until 25th May 2019. Notice Description

The Fabrication Laboratory (Fab Lab) is a new facility being established within the newly constructed Science, Technology & Prototyping Centre at the University of Wolverhampton Science Park. This PS10m Science, Technology & Prototyping Centre will open in Spring 2017 and will comprise a total of 3,900m2 nett floor space. The Fab Lab will provide a combination of high quality office, laboratory and workshop areas to support science and technology based businesses. General information about the Fab Lab can be found be found at http://fablabsuk.co.uk/. The Fab Lab will occupy a 1,097ft2 unit on the ground floor of the building, initially for the duration of the iPSS project i.e. to March 2019. This Invitation is to tender for the supply, installation and commissioning of the equipment specified in Schedule 1 of this Invitation and the necessary works to extend the network of 3 phase electricity outlets sufficient for the operation of all equipment Deadline for installation and commissioning of every piece of equipment detailed in the lots specified in Schedule 1 and the extension of the 3 phase supply is the end of May 2017. This is an ERDF Funded Project and suppliers MUST be able to meet the budget requirements.
