INTRODUCTION This assignment is anticipated to have a duration of two years with the right to extend by a further one year. The planned start date is April 2019. Companies are invited to submit Expressions of Interest, from which It is intended to shortlist between 5 and 7 companies to invite to submit Proposals. Proposals will be invited and evaluated on the basis of a pre-stated price and quality methodology. The assignment will cover marketing and representation services for Royal Museums Greenwich (RMG) brand in China. RMG encompasses the National Maritime Museum (NMM), the Royal Observatory (ROG), Cutty Sark (CS), and the Queen's House (QH). These four world-class attractions are at the heart of maritime Greenwich in a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Attracting over 2.5 million visitors each year, RMG is one of the UK's top 10 visitor attractions. BACKGROUND China is a key market for Royal Museums Greenwich. The Royal Observatory is the key attraction driving the Chinese market to Greenwich. Chinese visits in 2017-18 to the Royal Observatory equaled 7% which was the same as for our German visits. We continue to see a growth of Chinese visitors to RMG. As the number of inbound visits from China to the UK is set to increase, RMG wants to be at the forefront of targeting this market to ensure our brand is known but also that RMG is regarded as a must see attraction when visiting the UK. OBJECTIVES 1.To maximize the opportunity from the growth in Chinese visitors to Britain. 2.To continue to look at RMG's key selling points and developing them for each market segment within China i.e. leisure, corporate or student travel. 3.To drive visitor numbers across RMG attractions especially to Cutty Sark, the National Maritime Museum and the Queen's House. 4.To build a marketing plan around the key messages of RMG. 5.To build relationships with key tour operators in the market.. 6.To attend key industry events in market representing RMG. 7.To seize any opportunities that will enhance the RMG awareness in China. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out in the procurement documentation. PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT ANY FINANCIAL OR TECHNICAL PROPOSALS AT THIS STAGE.. Participants should demonstrate that they have the required capability and capacity to perform the contract by submitting an Expressions of Interest in response to the following criteria: 1) Company's general experience (core business, managerial and organizational structure, and years in business) Maximum two A4 sides 2) Project experience- details of relevant current or previous contracts in CHINA that are directly comparable to the scope of this assignment. Maximum three A4 sides. 4) Profiles of key personnel that would carry out the assignment. Maximum two A4 sides per CV, 5) Financial- evidence of the adequacy of your financial capability to carry out the assignment. Maximum one A4 side.
