Non Scalpel Vasectomy (Male Sterilisation) in Hertfordshire
Notice Description
NHS Herts Valleys Clinical Commissioning Group (HVCCG) is seeking suitable providers to deliver a Non Scalpel Vasectomy service for their population in Hertfordshire. The service will provide high quality and safe two stage, non-scalpel vasectomy under local anaesthetic in accordance with The Faculty of Sexual & Reproductive Healthcare of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologist (RCOG) guidelines (2014) and will be accessible for all men registered with a GP in Herts Valleys.It is intended the following outcomes will be achieved by commissioning a Vasectomy service that: * Improves clinical outcomes for patients. * Improves patients' experience of Vasectomy services via an integrated, standardised and clinically led pathway. * Improves patient choice via easier and quicker access to local community based services with care closer to home. * Provides a local cost-effective service. * Waiting times will be managed within nationally set access targets. * Services comply with accepted best practice in line with national and local guidance, relevant accreditations processes, and relevant guidelines in clinical practice and governance arrangements. HVCCG would expect the Provider to offer the service in each locality, Watford and Three Rivers, Hertsmere, Dacorum and St Albans and Harpenden. Ideally the service would be delivered within a primary care or community setting such as GP practices, this is in line with the CCGs strategy for Your Care, Your Future and care closer to home. The Contract will be for three years commencing 1st June 2018 with a possible 2 year extension. The total contract value is PS483,000 excluding VAT.
