Notice Description

The proposed Mote Park Centre forms a key component in the Sustainable Future for Mote Park and is in direct response to the increasing numbers of visitors which have grown from 2009- 650,000 to 2015- 1,000,000 with a forecast to increase further due to other investments made by the Council including a new children's play area and a new Adventure Zone at Mote Park. It is envisaged that the new larger cafe building, larger toilet block with changing place facilties and flexi-space will: * Add to the parks overall quality and visitor experience; * Reflect the historic, cultural and environmental setting of this registered Historic Park; * Appeal to the current park users and the friends of the park as well as attracting new visitors; * Have high eco credentials; * Have high design quality; * Make us of natural / local materials; * Provide flexible multi - use space; * Provide an opportunity which can be utilised from dawn till dusk; In addition, the relocation of the Estate Service buildings is required as part of the Sustainable Future for Mote Park plan.
