Summary of the contracting process

The Children's Integrated Therapy and Equipment Service contract, awarded by South of England Procurement Services, is focused on delivering health services primarily for children and young people aged 0-19 in East Sussex. The contract, valued at £13,693,260, has a primary duration of three years, commencing on 1st April 2018 and potentially extending for an additional 24 months. The procurement process employed was a selective method under the Restricted procedure, falling within the social services category as outlined in the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. The procurement phase has reached the award stage as of 15th December 2017, with the contract period aimed at providing various therapies and equipment to support children with complex health needs.

This tender presents significant opportunities for organisations specialising in health services, particularly those equipped to provide integrated therapy solutions, including occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, and physiotherapy. Businesses that can cater to the needs of children with disabilities and neurodevelopmental conditions, while ensuring accessibility in various venues across East Sussex, are well-positioned to compete. Small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as voluntary and community social enterprises, are encouraged to participate, given the focus on collaborative service delivery and community engagement.
