Older People's Service Market Engagement

Notice Description

The Council is intending to commission a service to provide specialist provision for Older People. We will be looking for a service provider to offer this service to people referred aged 65 and over who present or may be identified as at risk and requiring specialist information, advice or support to halt or slow down any deterioration or avert crisis. The scope of the service is currently under review and may contain: o Provide a one-to-one befriending service to link people together via face-to-face contact within the home or via telephone contact, providing company and support to those identified as at risk and requiring specialist support. o Access to clubs and activities across the Solihull borough with the intention to help people build relationships, reduce loneliness and maximise older people's independence. Solihull Council want to engage with the market to support the shaping of the next contract for the Older People's Specialist Service before commencing the formal processes to retender this service. Additional information: Please register via the Council's e-procurement system - CSW-JETS https://in-tendhost.co.uk/csw-jets CSW-JETS is a sub-regional e-tendering portal run by In-tend. Since February 2010, Coventry; Solihull; Warwickshire; Nuneaton and Bedworth; Rugby alongside other local district Councils have been working together as a shared procurement service. In conjunction with Solihull Community Housing, we have joined together to bring you a collaborative E-Tendering portal. CSW-JETS enables us to advertise our opportunities across all authorities through the same system. This means that there is a single point of contact for procurement in the sub-region so you only have to register once to receive notifications for all authorities.
