Summary of the contracting process

The Northamptonshire County Council is seeking providers for Carer's Support Services through an open tender process. This initiative, which has a total contract value of £3,150,000, is classified under health and social work services. The contract is set to commence on 1st October 2017 and will last for three years, with an option for a two-year extension. The deadline for submitting completed invitations to tender was 12:00 noon on 12th April 2017, and the service is required to assist adult carers in Northamptonshire in maintaining a balance between their caring responsibilities and personal needs.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses in the health and social care sector, particularly those specialising in support services for carers, respite care, training, and community resilience. Companies that can provide value-for-money solutions and have the capability to collaborate with various agencies to meet the needs of vulnerable individuals will be well-positioned to compete. The contract's focus on collaboration with health services and voluntary sectors also suggests an advantage for organisations experienced in multi-agency partnerships.
