Expressions of Interest for the Provision of Primary Medical Services in Birmingham for Birmingham and Solihull CCG
Notice Description
NHS Arden & Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (NHS Arden & GEM CSU) on behalf of Birmingham and Solihull CCG would like to notify you of opportunities to provide Primary Medical Services in Birmingham at Nechells Practice, Kingshurst Medical Practice, FirstCare Practice and Oakleaf Medical Practice. The Commissioner is looking at a price range of between PS88.96 - PS110.00 per weighted patient based on 18/19 prices, this will be subject to uplifts in line with national negotiations. Lot 1 - Nechells Practice, Nechells, Birmingham: The Practice has a raw list size of 4682 patients as of 1st January 2019. Nechells Practice is located in the Nechells area and the building is managed by NHS Property Services. Birmingham and Solihull CCG wish to procure primary care services as the current contract is due to expire on 31st March 2020. Lot 2 - Kingshurst Medical Practice in Kingshurst, Birmingham: As of 1st January 2019 the practice has a raw list of 6672 patients and a weighted list of 6554 patients. Kingshurst Medical Practice is located in Kingshurst, North Solihull. The premises are owned by Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council. Birmingham & Solihull CCG wish to procure Primary Medical Services as the current contract is due to expire on 31st March 2020. Lot 3 - FirstCare Practice in Balsall Heath, Birmingham: The Practice has a raw list size of 6102 patients and a weighted list size of 5788 patients. FirstCare Practice is located in the Balsall Heath area and the building is managed by NHS Property Services. Birmingham and Solihull CCG wish to procure primary care services as the current contract is due to expire on 3rd August 2020. Lot 4 - Oakleaf Medical Practice in Saltley, Birmingham: As of 1st January 2019 the practice has a raw list of 9323 patients and a weighted list of 8788 patients. Oakleaf Medical Practice is located in Washwood Heath, Birmingham. The practice is housed in a CHP/LIFT building and is shared with a Walk In Centre, another GP practice and community services. The Commissioners are only re-procuring the services provided by Oakleaf Medical Practice. Birmingham & Solihull CCG wish to procure Primary Medical Services as the current contract is due to expire on 8th August 2020. Additional information: The Commissioners will be holding a Market Engagement event on Friday 14th June 2019 in Birmingham. Please register your interest by 12.00pm (noon) on Friday 31st May 2019. Places are strictly limited therefore reservations are limited to no more than 2 persons per organisation. The Market Engagement Event will; * Give an overview of the services to be provided * Provide details of the contract type, length and particular conditions * Explain the procurement process and the anticipated timeline. Please note that this expression of interest has been designed to allow the market visibility of the proposed opportunity and support early engagement. The aim of the expression of interest exercise is to; 1. Support the CCGs informed decision making on the potential options on the future commissioning of these services; 2. To help refine the commissioning and procurement approach and; 3. To gauge the level of interest from the market of capable providers with capacity to deliver the services illustrated above. This is a market testing exercise and does not commit the Commissioners to carry out a procurement process. Current services will remain in place during this period in line with existing contracts and service level agreements. Providers who have expressed an interest in this market testing exercise will have the opportunity to submit a separate response to the Contract Notice as applicable. If you wish to express an interest and register for the Market Engagement Event please register on the EU Supply website https://uk.eu-supply.com/login.asp?B=UK. The tender ID No. is 34709. Once registered please complete the questions which asks providers to give details about their organisation's name and postal address, email address, contact name and number. Your response should also include capability and previous experience of delivering this or a similar level of service. Please note that whilst there may be an opportunity to comment on the Contract Length the Commissioners are not obligated to incorporate or change these. Please note the deadline for responses is by 12pm (noon) on Friday 31st May 2019.
