Summary of the contracting process

The Midlands & Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit is currently conducting a procurement process for a tender titled "NHS Worcestershire CCGs CHC Fast Track Funded End of Life Care (at Home)." This initiative falls under the health and social work services category and is located in the West Midlands region of the United Kingdom. The procurement stage is in the planning phase, with a deadline for expressions of interest set for 26th June 2017. The contract term is for two years, with the possibility of a one-year extension, starting from 10th October 2017.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in community-based healthcare services, particularly those with experience in delivering end-of-life care. The procurement's selective method means that the contracting authority is looking for qualified service providers who can meet specific patient needs within the Worcestershire area. Companies that are small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) or voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) would be well-suited to compete, as the CCGs aim to award contracts to up to three providers to ensure comprehensive coverage across the three CCGs involved.
