Summary of the contracting process

The Foreign & Commonwealth Office is initiating the New Delhi Reprovision Project Phase 1, which focuses on building construction work in New Delhi, India. Currently in the planning stage, this procurement process is set to run within the framework of the Public Contract Regulations 2015. A key deadline for expressions of interest is 17:00hrs BST on 4th September 2020, with the Supplier Questionnaire (SQ/PQQ) process expected to commence in April 2021, followed by the Restricted Invitation to Tender (ITT) Stage in July 2021. Works are anticipated to begin in Winter 2021 and be completed by 2022.

This tender presents significant opportunities for construction and engineering businesses looking to expand their market presence, especially those experienced in large-scale projects involving new accommodation and facilities. Firms specialising in building construction, project management, and those capable of meeting the NEC 4 contract requirements would be well-suited to compete. The early engagement stage allows companies to showcase their interest and potentially participate in a market engagement event later in 2020, paving the way for future collaboration with the FCO.
