Non-Emergency Patient Transport Services for NHS Shropshire CCG and NHS Telford and Wrekin CCG
Notice Description
This is not a call for competition. This is an Advert for Soft Market Testing to gauge market interest which will influence future Commissioning and Procurement Direction. NHS Midlands and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit on behalf of NHS Shropshire CCG and NHS Telford and Wrekin CCG are seeking to engage with potential Providers for the provision of non-emergency patient transport services. Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin CCG's intend to go to market in June 2019 under Schedule 3 of the Public Contract Regulations to procure a non-emergency patient transport service for the health population of the county of Shropshire. The service Provider(s) will be required to work collaboratively with existing providers as part of an integrated, evidence based approach to patient care. The CCG's anticipate that this future procurement will be awarded to one service provider or a lead provider on behalf of a consortium. The aim of the market engagement event will be to engage with potential Providers for these services in order to share the commissioning intentions of the CCG's, and to seek the input from Providers on a number important aspects relating to the services, including the service specification. The CCG's would like to assess the current market appetite to provide this service and identify any barriers to successful implementation. The outcomes of the market engagement event will then determine next steps. At the event there will be an opportunity for Providers to network with other Providers and Commissioners. Any future contract awarded will be in line with the NHS Standard Contract. The anticipated contract period is 3 years with upto a 24 month contract extension. The event will be held on: Friday 17th May 2019 At: 10:00am to 12:00noon (Registration 09:45am) Location: NHS Telford and Wrekin CCG, Halesfield 6, Halesfield, Telford, TF7 4BF. Please note no more than 2 attendees per organisation should attend. Closing date for registration is Friday 10th May 2019 by 12:00 (noon). It should be noted that this is not a procurement exercise and participating organisations are responsible for their own costs. The services to which this notice relates fall below the Light Touch Regime threshold set by Public Contracts Regulation 2016.
