Summary of the contracting process

The Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust is initiating a procurement process for a service titled "Service to Support Those Bereaved and Affected by a Suspected Suicide or Suicide". This opportunity falls under the category of Community Health Services and is aimed at providing support to individuals affected by suspected suicide. The procurement is currently at the planning stage, with key dates including an engagement end date of 13th January 2020 for interested parties to register. This service is intended to be based in Yorkshire and the Humber, UK, and the contract will involve managing approximately 20-30 volunteer support workers who will be available seven days a week.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) that focus on mental health support services. Companies with experience in managing volunteer programmes or providing mental health resources would be well-positioned to compete. By offering tailored support to vulnerable communities, successful bidders can not only contribute positively to public health but also expand their reach and impact within the sector.

Notice Title

Service to Support Those Bereaved and Affected by a Suspected Suicide Or Suicide

Notice Description

We would like to create awareness of a future procurement to include within third sector organisations that can support the Humber, Coast and Vale STP in the development and delivery of a service to support those bereaved and affected by a suspected suicide or suicide. The contract will be looking at working with a provider who will manage the provision of around 20-30 volunteer support workers to be based 7 days a week with this new service. Children, young people and adults who are bereaved or affected by a suspected suicide are themselves at increased risk of suicide. Providing support after a suspected suicide can reduce this risk, especially when tailored to the person's needs. It is important to identify people who may need support as soon as possible so that they can be given practical information and access support if, and when, they need to. If this is a service you are able to provide please register your interest before 14th of January https://in-tendhost.co.uk/noecpc/aspx/ProjectManage/3261 How to Express Interest in this Tender: 1.
