NWL0053 Supported Living Services (Mental Health) - London
Notice Description
NWL CCG, requires a locally based support service in London to provide safe and supported accommodation for people with complex and long-term mental health needs in the community. The primary mental health need of residents within the service is paranoid schizophrenia and schizophrenia. Needs are for safe accommodation, support to transition back to society with independence and manage their enduring mental health conditions. Other key services required include: - Enabling people to fulfil their potential and to take as much responsibility for as many areas of their lives as they can -Assisting people to integrate into their local community and take up full citizenship -Help to prevent re-admission to Psychiatric Hospital -Assist people to improve their mental health and support them in taking medication appropriately with the aim of achieving self-medication -Facilitate people to access training/ education opportunities, meaningful daytime activities and/or employment -To maximise people's benefits/ income -Assist people to reduce/ abstain from substance misuse (when appropriate) -Help people to lead a healthy life and access a GP -Assist people to comply with the conditions of the Mental Health Act where appropriate -Reduce/ prevent self-harming behaviour -Help prevent people's involvement in the criminal justice system and offending behaviour -Maintain effective working relationships with other agencies/ professional colleagues -Encourage and support service users to participate in the running of the service provision The CCG currently has a contract in place with London Colette House (LCH) to provide the above services (estimated contract annual value PS240,386.43). The current contract expires in 31st March 2022 during which time the CCG will assess the needs of the service users and consider how (if relevant) it needs to: -Secure the needs of the people who use the services. -Improve the quality of the services. -Improve the efficiency in the provision of the services including through the services being provided in an integrated way. NWL CCG is considering options for making future arrangements for these services beyond 31st March 2022 which may involve looking to tender the opportunity in the future. Any capable provider may come forward by 4 March 2022 to engage with the CCG. If it is the case that LCH is the only provider capable of delivering the services described, then the CCG will look to award a further contract to LCH for up to 12 months starting on 1st April 2022. The purpose of this notice is to be transparent about the CCG's intentions and to invite anyone interested in delivering the services described above to contact us by 4 March 2022. During 2022, it is anticipated that NWL CCG will be succeeded by an Integrated Care Board (ICB). Any future contract and/or procurement opportunity may therefore be in the name of the ICB.
