Notice Title

Provision of Connected Autonomous Plant (CAP) Maturity Levels

Notice Description

This PAS to develop a taxonomy, definitions and performance requirements for the various CAP Capability/Maturity levels in a way that it is easy to communicate and may be used for procurement. These technical and operational capability levels will range from what might be considered 'low levels' of CAP capability or readiness through to the higher levels of CAP covering the expected connectivity, levels of automation, coordination and operational safety and performance considerations. In defining the various CAP levels therefore, the standard would set out the anticipated performance within the given CAP levels. A standard would help create a common reference for CAP and allow CAP operation to be described consistently, including use in procurement. The standard could be socialized both as good practice and as the basis of future further standardization in this area.
