Notice Title

Procurement of Support and Care Contract for Adults with Learning Disabilities with Complex Needs and Significant Challenging Behaviour

Notice Description

The London Borough of Ealing is tendering for a Support and Care Contract for Adults with Learning Disabilities with Complex Needs and Significant Challenging Behaviour. Ealing Council has secured capital funding from NHS England to re-develop a site. In the first phase of the development, the existing Greenford Lodge building is being adapted and refurbished into 3 x 1 bedroom self-contained flats which will be suitable for people who struggle to share space with others due to the frequency and intensity of the challenging behaviour they exhibit, and the level of risk they present to themselves and others. The building works are due to be completed by mid-September 2018. A further bid is being submitted to NHS England for additional funding in 2018/19 for at least a further 3 units but no more than 6 on the same site which will come on stream in 2019/20. The intention is that these units will also form part of the contracted service in due course.
