Notice Title
CEFAS21-51 RFQ CLiP Litter Booms
Notice Description
The Marine Litter Team at Cefas requires to purchase 4x litter river booms with of the minimum length of 70m each. The booms must be either modular or allow for easy transport and deployment because the devices will be used for short-lived surveys in different locations. In case of modular units, the total length provided should be between 280m and 300m. Due to the different characteristics of the rivers where booms will be deployed, the tenderer must provide information about limitations (e.g. maximum water speed) that must be taken into account while designing the deployment strategy. Each boom will be also provided with an anchoring system for fine sediments and one for hard sediment. In case of modular booms, 4 anchoring systems for hard sediment and 4 anchoring systems for soft sediment should be provided. Due to the constrains of the work, the successful tenderer must be able to demonstrate that the construction of the units has started by the end of March 2021. The units must be provided by middle of April 2021.
