Notice Description

This is a requirement for a turnkey solution for the supply and installation of a new: 3T MR scanner with high-performance gradients and full MNS capabilities Alternative solutions: (e.g. Ex-demo, upgrades or the re-use of the existing magnet) will be considered but only in addition to a compliant new proposal submission. Bidders may propose any product / system which are equivalent or better than the requirements specified. o Bidders should provide sufficient documents evidence to support such alternative offer(s). ? Demos: Vendors to arrange asap UK/Europe site visit/demonstration of these features for customer evaluation during the tendering process. o Site demo test results to be repeated again to ensure same or better than demo test results/ tender proposal claim on Completion of customer Site Installation commissioning Acceptance Tests (SATs) The prime use of this scanner will be to undertake research in the field of translational MR imaging including experimental medicine and clinical trials. Research will focus on studies of the clinical brain connectome, whole-body physiology and metabolism to enable precision medicine. To support our research programme, we require high-end diffusion and functional MRI protocols, MNS capabilities with dynamic 13C single voxel MRS and CSI for in vivo DNP experiments. ? The scanner may also be used for clinical scanning for the NHS or private service providers.
