Summary of the contracting process

The Devon & Cornwall Constabulary is currently in the planning stage of a procurement process titled "Restorative Justice Commissioning," focused on health and social work services, particularly in the South West region of England. Key activities are set to commence following an engagement event on 31 January 2017 at Buckfast Abbey Conference Centre, Devon, with an important deadline for engagement set for 23 February 2018. This initiative seeks a supplier for restorative justice services that will support local Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs) in providing solutions through a victim-led approach, as mandated by statutory requirements under several legislative acts.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses that specialise in restorative justice services, social work, mediation, and related community programs. Firms that can effectively coordinate multi-agency partnerships and demonstrate experience in victim advocacy and conflict resolution will be particularly well-suited to compete. With the commitment from local PCCs and a structured procurement process facilitated by the Southwest Police Procurement Department, engaged businesses can leverage this initiative to enhance service delivery in communities and contribute to crime prevention efforts.
