Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process, titled "Framework Agreement for Waste Management Services," is conducted by Procure Plus Holdings Limited, aiming to establish a framework agreement with multiple suppliers for waste management services. This initiative falls under the refuse and waste-related services category and encompasses regions across the United Kingdom including the North West, Yorkshire and the Humber, and London. The procurement was initiated on 5th November 2018, and the framework contract period runs from 11th February 2019 to 10th February 2023, with a total estimated value of £14,500,000. The process follows an open procedure, allowing various contracting authorities under the Reallies consortium to participate throughout the agreement's term.

This framework agreement represents significant opportunities for businesses in the waste management sector, particularly for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that can provide comprehensive waste solutions for construction and office activities. Competing businesses should have the capacity for effective waste management, compliance with regulatory standards, and the ability to leverage local supply chains. Companies already engaged in waste collection, disposal, and recycling services would be well-placed to bid for inclusion in this framework, enabling them to potentially secure contracts from various social housing providers and local authorities throughout the UK.
