Summary of the contracting process

Highways England is seeking tenders for the "TMTii 10 ESDAL" project, aimed at enhancing the management of Abnormal Indivisible Loads (AIL) in the UK. This tender falls under the IT services category, particularly focusing on consulting and software development. The procurement stage is currently in the tender phase, with the deadline for submissions set for 13th June 2018. The contract period is expected to commence on 25th June 2018 and conclude on 24th June 2021. The services will cover multiple aspects, including a clone service, mobilisation and stability service, and business as usual service, among others, with delivery addresses spanning the British Overseas Territories, Channel Islands, and across Europe, including the UK.

This procurement opportunity presents significant potential for growth, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) capable of providing specialised IT services. Companies with expertise in software development, consulting, and support services tailored to transport and logistics sectors would be particularly well-suited to compete for this contract. As the project involves a critical service for managing abnormal loads, firms that can demonstrate innovation and efficiency in technology solutions will have a competitive edge in this tendering process.
