Notice Title
Joint Children's Advocacy Services for the London Boroughs of Enfield and Haringey
Notice Description
The London Borough of Haringey is undertaking a soft market testing exercise for Children's Advocacy Services to be procured jointly with the London Borough of Enfield. The purpose of the soft market testing is to inform the market of the forthcoming procurement, gauge market interest and seek input from potential providers. The service will provide an independent and confidential advocacy service to children and young people under the age of 18 or up to 25 if care-leavers. Every Child in Care has the right to request an advocate if particular circumstances require it. This is underpinned by the statutory responsibility of the Council under the Adoption and Children Act 2002. Article 12 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) and the Human Rights Act 1998 also underpin this statutory responsibility. Advocacy safeguards children and young people and protects them from abuse and poor practice. Advocacy is about speaking up for children and young people. Advocacy is about empowering children and young people to make sure that their rights are respected, and their views and wishes are heard at all times. Advocacy is about representing the views, wishes and needs of children and young people to decision-makers, and helping them to navigate the system. If you wish to participate in this soft market testing exercise, please complete the questionnaire below and return it via the Council's e-tendering portal HPCS, no later than 13:00 hrs on Wednesday 9th October 2024. To respond, please click on the following link: http://redirect.transaxions.com/events/4arlR All responses to the questionnaire will be treated confidentially. Please note: this notice is a request for information only and not a call for competition. The responses to this notice will help the Council to understand the number of Providers who may be interested in bidding for a potential Contract.
