Notice Description

Please refer to OJEU Notice 2017/S 116-233497 UKAEA are looking to collaborate with a partner organisation to establish a centre of excellence for training engineering apprentices at intermediate, advanced and higher levels. This collaborative approach will be achieved by a governance structure, including a steering group comprising of Training Provider employees and UKAEA employees. The training centre, OAS, will build upon the success of award-winning, established training schemes at UKAEA, and the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC), who rely on a supply of highly qualified engineers to meet their business needs within the high-growth engineering sector. OAS aim is to deliver high quality apprenticeships to produce highly qualified, work ready and relevantly skilled technicians at a scale that will address the skills gap in Oxfordshire and the surrounding area.
