Notice Title

HEE Centre for Advancing Practice ePortfolio Route - Pharmacists

Notice Description

Health Education England are putting out this notice as a PIN (Prior Information Notice) with a view to completing a Direct Award to The Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS). The case for direct award can be found on the tender portal. HEE is looking to Contract with The Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) delivery of the Health Education England (HEE) Centre for Advancing Practice ePortfolio (Supported) Route for pharmacists. The Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) is the leading professional body representing the pharmacy workforce, with a role to promote and develop the profession. HEE previously issued a tender to procure suppliers to deliver the Centre for Advancing Practice's ('the Centre') ePortfolio (Supported) Route. It has now considered how it might work with professional bodies with current and demonstrable expertise of individual advanced level educational equivalence in alignment with the requirements set out in the HEE Multi-Professional Framework for Advanced Clinical Practice ('the Framework'). These professional bodies have existing infrastructure including standards, portfolios, assessment procedures and IT, which might be effectively utilised to grow the number of individuals practising at advanced level recognised by the Centre. The RPS has existing expertise and infrastructure which could be utilised as described above to assess the educational equivalence of pharmacists against the Framework. The RPS has therefore been identified as the organisation HEE considers capable of providing the support and capacity required to meet its specific needs related to growing at scale the number of pharmacists recognised by the Centre. This is, however, not intended to be an exclusive arrangement and other appropriate suppliers delivering the ePortfolio (Supported) route may be involved in assessing pharmacists against the Framework. For the Specification, Contract and the Case for Direct Award please access the portal at: https://health-family-contract-search.secure.force.com/?SearchType=Projects All communications should be made via the messaging function on the Health Family eTendering portal. If any provider has concerns with the commissioning intentions outlined within the published documentation, please raise this via the eTendering Portal in the first instance within 30 days of the date of this Prior Information Notice. The financial envelope for this PIN is PS820,000 The closing date of this PIN is midday on 4th August 2022
