Highway Verge Maintenance and Arboriculture Framework 2024-2026
Notice Description
Cumberland Council requires Contractors to provide an efficient and effective verge maintenance service to permit safe movement of traffic throughout the County and protect the integrity of the road network and ecology of the roadside environment. The work entails the routine cutting of a single swathe (machine width) along the majority of the roadside verges in addition to the periodic full-width cutting of roadside verges and visibility areas. This service is currently provided through a framework. This framework will provide the service for a maximum of 2 years from the 2024 season through to the end of the 2025/2026 financial year. Suppliers wishing to express an interest and obtain access to the tender documents should go to www.the-chest.org.uk and click on current opportunities from the navigation area on the left of the screen. On the next screen enter the contract Reference (DN720276) in the box labelled 'contains' then click search. Click on the Blue link for the contract title to view the opportunity.
