Notice Description

Provision of noise monitoring and advice services prior to and during the construction of a geothermal drilling site, and the drilling and testing of a deep geothermal well. 1) Review/update EGL's existing noise impact assessment for the construction, drilling and well-testing phases of the Eden Geothermal Project. (Based on previous work carried out by Buro Happold in 2010; to be updated with reference to final site design and technical/noise data specific to the drilling rig to be used.) 2) Provide advice/guidance to assist with statutory/LPA compliance, and in relation to noise management/mitigation options (as appropriate). 3) Design, install and manage a monitoring system to measure noise at key representative receptors during construction, drilling and well-testing. The noise monitoring system must provide real-time data and enable EGL to control noise sources in response to that data.
